All applicants must submit a resume to the HR Department for a specific position. Supervisors select the candidates that they would like to be interview. The HR Department arranges an appointment for interview. The candidate completes APMSS Employment forms and interviews with management and other staff.
If the candidate is going to be hired, HR calls the candidate and offers a position with a specific salary and a “start date.”
On the first day of work, the new employee receives an orientation from HR and their new direct supervisor. Then the employee is sent for computer system training.
All new employees are now required to receive eight (8) hours of computer training on the NextGen system for EMR and EPM. The employee receives four hours of training on her/his first day. The second training is done after the employee has worked for one week. Additional training is always available by appointment.
Employees are on probation for ninety (90) days. During this period, employees are not eligible to receive any benefits. Upon a positive 90 day review by their supervisor and HR, the employee is eligible to receive paid holidays, health insurance, and any and/or benefits that APMSS offers its employees are that time.
